^MPMode Protection

Disables front panel functions, such as darkness or position adjustment, so operators can't change them.

^MNMedia Tracking

Tells the printer which kind of media it has, continuous, gap (web) or black mark, so it can find the start of each label.

^MTMedia Type

Chooses the printing method: thermal transfer, with a ribbon, or direct thermal, on heat-sensitive media without one.
