Use it when field data needs to contain carets. - [~CC Change Caret](/docs/commands/tilde-CC): Same as ^CC, sent as a control command. Replaces the caret (^) format command prefix with another character. - [^CD Change Delimiter](/docs/commands/CD): Changes the delimiter between command parameters from the comma to another character. - [~CD Change Delimiter](/docs/commands/tilde-CD): Control command form of ^CD. Swaps the comma that separates command parameters for another character. - [^CT Change Tilde](/docs/commands/CT): Changes the control command prefix from the tilde (~) to another character. - [~CT Change Tilde](/docs/commands/tilde-CT): Same as ^CT but sent as a control command. Replaces the tilde (~) control prefix with another character. - [^DF Download Format](/docs/commands/DF): Stores the rest of the format in printer memory as a reusable template instead of printing it. Mark the variable parts with ^FN, then print with ^XF. - [^LH Label Home](/docs/commands/LH): Moves the label home, the 0,0 point that all field positions are measured from. Shift a whole design this way without editing every ^FO. - [^LL Label Length](/docs/commands/LL): Sets the label length (height), which continuous media requires. Put it before the first ^FS so it affects the current label. - [^LR Label Reverse Print](/docs/commands/LR): Reverses every field that follows, as if each had ^FR, so black and white flip where fields overlap. - [^LS Label Shift](/docs/commands/LS): Shifts all fields to the left by a number of dots. Used mainly for compatibility with older printers. - [^LT Label Top](/docs/commands/LT): Moves the whole label image up or down relative to the label's top edge. Corrects vertical alignment without changing field positions. - [^MU Set Units of Measurement](/docs/commands/MU): Sets the units for positions and sizes: dots, inches or millimeters. It can also convert a format designed for one resolution to another. - [^PM Printing Mirror Image of Label](/docs/commands/PM): Prints the whole label as a mirror image, flipped left to right. - [^PO Print Orientation](/docs/commands/PO): Rotates the whole label 180 degrees, for when labels come out of the printer upside down relative to how you want them. - [^PW Print Width](/docs/commands/PW): Print width of the label. Set it so content isn't cut off or placed off the label when the media is narrower than the printhead. - [^XA Start Format](/docs/commands/XA): Opens a label format. Every label begins with ^XA and ends with ^XZ. - [^XF Recall Format](/docs/commands/XF): Recalls a format stored with ^DF. Follow it with ^FN and ^FD pairs to fill in the template's numbered fields. - [^XZ End Format](/docs/commands/XZ): Closes a label format. The printer prints the label when it reaches ^XZ. - Fields - [^FC Field Clock (or Real Time Clock)](/docs/commands/FC): Defines the characters that mark date and time placeholders in field data, such as %m or %H. The printer's real time clock fills them in at print time. - [^FD Field Data](/docs/commands/FD): Field data: the text to print or the value to encode in a bar code. It runs until the next ^FS. - [^FM Multiple Field Origin Locations](/docs/commands/FM): Positions each symbol when a PDF417 or MicroPDF417 bar code is split into several symbols (structured append). - [^FN Field Number](/docs/commands/FN): Numbers a field so it can be filled in later. Put it in a template saved with ^DF, then recall the template with ^XF and supply the data with ^FN and ^FD. - [^FO Field Origin](/docs/commands/FO): Field origin: where the next field starts, measured from the label home (^LH). The position is the field's top left corner. - [^FP Field Parameter](/docs/commands/FP): Prints a field's text vertically or in reverse order, and can add extra space between characters. - [^FR Field Reverse Print](/docs/commands/FR): Reverses the field: wherever it overlaps something already drawn, dots flip between black and white. Use it for white text on a black box. - [^FS Field Separator](/docs/commands/FS): Field separator. Every field definition, from ^FO through its data, ends with ^FS. - [^FT Field Typeset](/docs/commands/FT): Positions the next field like ^FO, but from the text baseline (bottom left) rather than the top left corner. Fields without a position continue after the previous one. - [^FV Field Variable](/docs/commands/FV): Variable field data. It works like ^FD, but with ^MCN only ^FV fields are cleared between labels, so the rest of the image is reused. - [^FW Field Orientation](/docs/commands/FW): Sets the default rotation, and justification, for fields that don't specify their own. Handy for rotating all the text on a label at once. - [^FX Comment](/docs/commands/FX): Comment. The printer ignores the text that follows, up to the next command. - [^SF Serialization Field (with a standard ^FD String)](/docs/commands/SF): Makes part of a field's data count up or down on each label printed. A mask sets which characters change and how, e.g. D for decimal digits and % to skip a character. - [^SN Serialization Data](/docs/commands/SN): Serial number that counts up or down on each label. It takes the place of ^FD and works with ^PQ to print a run of labels. - Text and fonts - [^A Scalable/bitmapped font](/docs/commands/A): Picks the font, rotation and size for the next text field. Place it right before ^FD so the text prints in that font instead of the default. - [^A@ Use font name to call font](/docs/commands/A@): Selects a font by its file name in printer memory rather than by a one-letter name. Use it for downloaded or custom fonts. - [^CF Change Alphanumeric Default Font](/docs/commands/CF): Sets the default font and size for text fields that have no ^A command. Put it at the top of a label to avoid repeating ^A on every field. - [^CI Change International Font/Encoding](/docs/commands/CI): Selects the character encoding used to read field data. Use ^CI28 to send UTF-8 text with accented or non-Latin characters. - [^CW Font Identifier](/docs/commands/CW): Gives a font in printer memory a one-letter name that ^A can refer to. It can also replace one of the built-in font letters. - [~DB Download Bitmap Font](/docs/commands/tilde-DB): Downloads a bitmap font to printer memory for use on labels. - [~DE Download Encoding](/docs/commands/tilde-DE): Downloads a character encoding table (.DAT) to printer memory. Unbounded fonts have more than 256 characters, as Asian fonts do. - [^FB Field Block](/docs/commands/FB): Wraps a text field into a fixed-width block of several lines, for addresses and descriptions. A \& in the data forces a line break. - [^FH Field Hexadecimal Indicator](/docs/commands/FH): Enables hex codes in field data, written after an indicator character, e.g. _5E for a caret. Use it for ^, ~ or bytes that are hard to type. - [^SE Select Encoding](/docs/commands/SE): Selects the stored encoding table (a .DAT file) the printer uses to map characters. - [^TB Text Blocks](/docs/commands/TB): Wraps a field's text in a block of a given width and height. Unlike ^FB, text that doesn't fit the block's height isn't printed. - Graphics and images - [~DG Download Graphics](/docs/commands/tilde-DG): Downloads a graphic image to printer memory as hex data. Print it later with ^XG or ^IM. - [~DN Abort Download Graphics](/docs/commands/tilde-DN): Aborts a graphic download in progress, for example after the host sent the wrong amount of data. - [~DY Download Graphics / Native TrueType or OpenType font](/docs/commands/tilde-DY): General purpose download command on newer printers.
